We see what we want! It’s the gospel truth! These two were literally huddled over in a corner table nose to nose and the person with me said “I bet they are up to no good” well you know me… I walked over, told them to scoot over. After 10 seconds of dead silence I said so whats happening at this table? I get nothing.. I then explained it was my store and they should spill it… They showed me their phones and they were texting friends trying to scrape up $3.00 each for the high school basketball game! Well they left with smiles, money for popcorn and bus fare. We have to STOP judging people and assuming and pigeon holing people!…

Reconcile me by my Truths… (A poem by Jack)

The reconciliation of duality..

Who you think you are versus who you really are… What you’re deemed to be…

What you are never changes from this life to the next… The source will always be there… But the power of the Who is enough to make or break a man..

So we deal with extremes and polar opposites… Constantly rationalizing the two in this brain of ours…

Who is the greater… Who is the lesser…

I feel fickle and unrooted…

Am I a human? Then allow me to run the gamma of my emotion… If I’m human let me feel all there is to be human…

If I’m god… Let me create… Let me draw from the infinite and manifest that which is without form…

If I’m less than a man… Well then keep me stonewalled… Angry.. And stoic… Operating like a machine impervious to emotions… Repressed free will translated as the ego… Kept in check…

What exactly am I?

The reconciliation of infinite dualities… All converging at one point… One moment… One soul…

The Un-Private Collection: Kara Walker and Ava DuVernay

Insight into this jewel of an artist I recently became aware of… Her work “A Subtlety” inspired my precious blog post.. Hope to discover more of Kara…

Ourstorian

Provocative artist Kara Walker will be in conversation with Ava DuVernay, filmmaker and winner of the 2012 Sundance Best Director Award. Two of the most celebrated artists working today, both use narratives drawn from real life experiences to tell important stories from the perspective of African-American women. The recent success of Kara Walker’s Sugar Baby installation at the Domino Sugar factory in Brooklyn and Ava DuVernay’s much anticipated film Selma are bringing difficult yet vital American histories to a wide-ranging public. This dialogue will be an opportunity to hear insights on their art making across the disciplines of visual art and filmmaking.

DARPA – making a NEW life form???

A lil sci-fi imaginative may soon be reality…

living journey

Ye sci-fi writers hard up for new material should spend an hour or so perusing theDefense Department’s 2015 budget proposal, especially the section covering the far-out research projects underway at DARPA, where the agency’s mad scientists are working to develop brain-controlled drones, biowarfare, engineer new life forms, and possibly attempt immortality.

If last year was the year of battlefield robots, cyborg soldiers, andweaponized drones, it looks like the next couple years will see the Pentagon gearing up for a deep dive into biotech. DARPA announced today it now has an unit devoted to studying the intersection of biology and engineering, the Biological Technologies Office.

The agency is betting that the next generation of defense tech will be take a cue from natural life, and as such one of the major focuses of the new unit will be on synthetic biology. It’ll ramp up research into manufacturing biomaterials, turning living…

Analysis on Brainwashing

Where is my mind?

The book I read, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, is a Dystopian novel that relates to the submissive pressure of the authority and why many people obey – not out of genuine altruism but fear. Alex, the anti-hero of the story, committed many crimes, but hypnotizing him by corresponding nausea with the contemplation of violence is not morally acceptable. That method strips the human right of choice and without that ability to make choices, the mere remains of freedom that we acquire no longer exist. This zombifying tactic is called brainwashing.

Brainwashing, a method of systematically changing attitudes or altering beliefs, is often used today, but it is not as noticeable or direct due to concealment. It is quite simple though. It is often used on children due to the influence of an adult who has been influenced themselves. The first step is to eliminate outer influences. They may…
